I’m pretty sure I haven’t see one of those.

The rain has been great. It’s been a long time since we had such a long period with so much rain, or at least it seems like it. And not just humid, but cool, too.

I love the wings on the Dobson and Fishflies – just beautiful, aren’t they?

Mark - they don’t seem to appear in large numbers around here. I see them attracted to light, usually at night or early morning on a wall or screen door. I suspect they emerge from the ornamental ponds, and so they’d be found more around bodies of water.

Bev - I’m still watching out for a Dobson!

Keep watching for the dobsonfly. They are totally worth seeing. I’ve photographed them both in Illinois and in Ecuador. The tropical one was no more impressive than the local species.
