I have been painting our front walkway deck, but have been unable to complete it because it hasn’t stayed dry enough and warm enough for long enough. That seems so strange.

We’re expecting a major storm front to blow through this weekend, lowering daytime high temps by 15 - 20 degrees, and bringing lots of rain. I can’t tell you how much I hope this actually materializes. We can attest to the dry warmth. Today it’s going to be in the 60s again and not a cloud in the sky.

The Atlanta weathermen are not in total agreement about Saturday’s precipitation event. Some indicate Rome will be at the edge of any rain, if we get any at all, and some indicate we might get mixed rain and snow.

Mark - after so many years of guaranteed dry, it’s ironic to not be able to do things like that because it’s so wet.
Yesterday I was gearing up for the possibility of snow Saturday morning, although I could see from the unisys models that both the temperatures and moisture movements were delicate and iffy. The commercial weather sites were optimistic. But then, this morning, all those predictions had disappeared. I’m not even certain we’ll get much in the way of rain now.
Robin - let’s hope you get some rain. Not mudslide type rain, but gentle pleasant rains.
Up until a week ago the temperatures have been very pleasant here - it’s gotten quite cold now.
BTW - forgot to mention - my reports up to this point add up to 58.99 inches of rain this year. Normal is 48.4". Whoa!

Ah... I would like a little more global, or at least local, warming sir... Please, sir... We’re pouring concrete. It’s snowing. The insulated forms we built help. With the occasional warm day we may pour deep into winter. Why, oh why do I always seem to end up pouring in the cold weather. I think there are not enough days in the year.
Happy Bday!
